Cosmetic surgery?
can cosmetic surgery for under 18 somehow adversely affect the pituatary gland of affect the height in any way? is this surgery safe for under 18 years?

That's a good question for your doctor. I don't think you could trust any answer that you'd get around here.
Reply:Be specific of what body part will undergo surgery. But 18 - 20 years old should not undergo any cosmetic surgery... because its still part of growin up and there's a lot body changes... 23-24 maybe this is the appropriate time for cosmetic surgery.
Reply:I actually do not think a cosmetic surgeon would do that type of surgery on anyone that is not of age without parental consent and the MD the family uses.This is too much to try and get an answer from people on here unless you know they have a medical degree in cosmetic surgery.

My mom had a tummy tuck, my grandma had a face lift, two friends had nose jobs, and one friend had breast implants.
It is very painful afterwards b/c you are recovering from real surgery, you know.
Reply:Don't do it..it's not worth it unless you've been in an accident or something. If you're thinking of doing it because you simply don't like your features then don't do it.

Cosmetic Tattooing?
I am considering getting cosmetic tattooing on my eyelids for eyeliner, mainly just the bottom lids..
does it hurt?
how long does it last (some sites say it fades after 2 yrs) ?

I only know of one person who had cosmetic tattoing, and though I am unaware of where she got it done (it was in the states), it looked abfab!! It was positively gorgeous! She had eyeliner and lipliner both and i think something else, but cant remember...anyways, it looked really pretty on her and she was also darker skinned. And she said it didnt hurt and on the days she felt she wanted to be different, she just put real make-up on over it, and if her real make-up faded, no worries bc there was her tattoo underneath it! I think it would be something cool for somebody else, not for me though. I am glad you're looking for answers before you make a decision!

Geetings, I've been trying to find cosmetic surgeons in the heidelberg or mannheim area of Germany (specializing in liposuction/breast lift). I'm an African-Amercian and I'd feel more comfortable visiting bi-langual doctors (don't want a botched up surgery cuz of language barrier). I won't be able to go back to the states until next summer. Anyway, if any of you know of a good accredited facility please let me know. Also, if you have any feedback from ones you've visited and had a procedure done that would be good too. Thanks so much : )
