Have you ever been critizied for having cosmetic surgery?

I could care less what a person does with his/her body, if it makes his/her feel better about themselves. I am all for cosmetic surgery, ( I am saving to get cosmetic surgery myself) I was just wondering if anyone has ever been critizied for their decision and how did you react?

Have you ever been critizied for having cosmetic surgery?
I'm planning on doing it soon and have told only a few people. Most everyone has been very supportive because they know what it means to me. I think cosmetic surgery can be a very positive thing when done for the right reasons. It can have a very positive impact on someone's life. Those that say not to have it and give the money to someone in need are not being realistic. Maybe next time they go shopping or buy car or buy anything for themselves they should save that money and give it to someone in need. I think it's an extreme way of thinking. And it's not American, cosmetic surgery happens everywhere. I've read blogs while doing my research about rhinoplasty and it's not just Americans doing it, it's ridiculous to even think that. Sorry for the rant but one thing that is wrong in society today is that people judge too quickly and harshly. It's easy for someone to say do this or don't do that because it's not their life or their situation. Plastic surgery is not just about superficial changes, it can be a tremendous improvement of life for a lot of people. Inside and out.
Reply:never had cosmetic surgery myself.....but i always wonder why people feel they need it....
Reply:I had a nose job and a breast reduction. My family and friends were very supportive, and I couldn't care less what anyone else thought about it! Not their business, so their opinion didn't count in any way! I love my body, and so does my hubby!

Do what you want - it's your body!
Reply:I think its stupid to have all kinds of surgery. Maybe one or two things that really bother you but being all fake looks funky.
Reply:I think its just a huge reflection of what a self-absorbed culture we are. Why not take that money and give it to a family in need? There are people who are starving, diseased, and yet so grateful for the bodies god has given them. I guess its difficult for Americans to see that perspective, and I don't blame them because its just what they we're exposed to.
Reply:I would hope you don't face criticism for chosing to have plastic surgery, but I also hope you have done a lot of soul searching first. As long as it is something you really feel you need to feel good about yourself, or maybe just really want to do for the sake of improving your appearance, you should be proud of your decision. Just don't go all Pam Anderson on us! Those things could have stopped the titanic from sinking!
