Who else wants cosmetic surgery?

Ever since I was 11, I've wanted surgery to narrow my nose. Don't get me wrong, a lot of people think I'm "very pretty" but i think they are lying or just being nice. Who knows, right?





Anyway, I want rhinoplasty..........





My boyfriend says he'd rather not have me do anything, but I've wanted it since I was little.





Is it normal for females to want cosmetic surgery? (I am 20 btw.)





Even my stepdad said I was "crazy" for wanting to change something about me and he told my mom that a lot of people would want to look like me. But I think he's a liar or being too nice.





I want to narrow my nose.

Reply:If it means that much to you, then you should do it. You are old enough now to know what you want. No one else can tell you that you shouldn't when you know how much it has bothered YOU! If it will make you happen, then go for it! Life is too short to have regrets.

Reply:You're an adult, it's your nose, if you want it changed, then change it! But remember, if you think it will change your life and everything will be perfect with a narrower nose, then don't do. Make an appointment with a plastic surgeon, they will be able to show you what you would look like and let you know if it's a good option for you. But if you can afford it and you really want it, and weigh the pros and cons and still want to do it, then by all means do it! It's your face!





I think I'll start with a little Botox when I hit 35, in three and a half years. My husband tells me it's nuts to put poison in my face, but it's my face, and a little preventative Botox is a good thing!
Reply:Well, maybe a picture of you would be most helpful. If you want to narrow your nose, then it is a personal decision.





If you look in the mirror and that is all "you" see is your nose, and it becomes a distraction, then maybe you should consult a cosmetic or plastic surgeon.

You said "a lot" of ppl think you're very pretty, including your stepdad, but you're convinced they are all lying or being nice. I think maybe you should take them at their word. They are being honestly complimentary. Of course, even if you think they are all being honest and really think you are pretty, you could still hate your own nose. Hmm. I guess my hope for you would be that you could accept your God-given attributes. There are some ppl who very much need rhinoplasty, such as in cases of cleft palate or other birth defects, but you're not in that category. If a lot of ppl think you're "very pretty" maybe you could find a way to agree with them.
Reply:You are completely normal! Don't worry!!! Do it! Just make sure that you do your research and go to the best doctor in your area!! Do not look for a bargain. This is the center of your face! It is one of the most uncomfortable surgeries you can have.
