Anyone know much about Cosmetic Tattooing??

I am considering doing a cosmetic tattooing course, As I have always wanted to be a tattoo artist, but seeing that the industry is almost impossible to get into, I have decided that Cosmetic Tattooing would be a great place to start and get great practice with a tattoo gun and shading etc, I have found a course that will teach me cosmetic tattooing %26amp; supply me with basic equipment, these courses are run out of select beauty college's in Australia (where I live) But they only run for 5-8 days and cost $5000-$10,000 dollars.. you can also do additional day courses to learn how to coverup scarring %26amp; add nipples to breast cancer victims etc... Is this a worthwhile career to be putting so much money into and can I really learn the art in 5-8 days?? Is it a competitive career and how much can I be looking to earn? Anyone that has any advice, experience,etc.. your input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanking you in advance :) I think it would be exciting, but would like to here your thoughts

Anyone know much about Cosmetic Tattooing??
you can learn how to do anything in 5-8 days, but dont expect to be good at it... you need a lot of practice...

i do hope you the best:
Reply:It would be a good field to get into; there are more cosmetic tattooists who AREN'T licensed than those who are. The money seems about right, considering they are supplying you with basic equipment and lessons, but 5-8 days? COME ON. I'd look for another school. Consider that someone who does regular tattoos (hopefully) goes to school, then practices on oranges and chickens for awhile, then practices on themselves for awhile.....and only when they've apprenticed for at least a year, and shown that they've got the chops can they start inking actual customers. I think I'd look for another school!

It's not as though you can just wipe it off and start over if you mess it up.

Is a Cosmetic Dentist a Good Profession ???

I have been on this major power path to find a good profession, Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Dentistry, are the new procedures, I would like to have a profession which will profit me and my patients, I would like to know if any of you all been to a Cosmetic Dentist and what do you think of it ???

Is a Cosmetic Dentist a Good Profession ???
A Cosmetic Dentist is also a dentist.

In general, they learn from square 1 too. Just that general dentistry is a need %26amp; cosmetic dentistry is a want. A need usually dun cost tt much but a want will come with a price hence being a cosmetic dentist allows you to earn more.
Reply:Cosmetic dentists are general dentists or Prosthodontists that emphasize their care to cosmetic procedures. It is not a recognized specialty (in the U.S.).

As far as dentistry as a career field...it has been very rewarding to me. I am a general dentist. As a general dentist I get such a wide variety of cases and patients from children injuring theirs faces/mouths while playing to patients who want to improve their looks.

I use everything from lasers, to scalpels as well as the traditional 'drill'. I have treated infections, diagnosed multiple cases of cancer and been able to help patients take control of their oral health. No day is boring, no case is boring...if a dentist tries to stay at the cutting edge, there are always new and better ways of treating patients.

I started out similarly to what you are describing; not sure if I wanted to go into medicine or dentistry...so I spent many hours visiting physicians' and dentists' offices. I saw what I liked and have not regretted my decision.

Invest some time into the research before you commit.

Good luck!!!

Get a famous cosmetic brand distributionship, how to do this business?

Get the distributionship thru business friends but totally no experience in cosmetic and skin care business. From business instinct, know that this brand can work but need to ask around if there is other interested parties to work together. The product is getting directly from factory. Looking for young entreprenuer that is interested to start up their own business in skin care and cosmetic business. for world wide distribution. or any one can help me how to expand this network. the profit is scary, no wonder the cosmetic company is earning big buck!!

Get a famous cosmetic brand distributionship, how to do this business?
Please don't litter this website with spam - if the profit was to scary, you wouldn't have to post on yahoo answers to try to get some sucker to sign up! If it was such a good deal, you certainly wouldn't want to share "profits" with anyone.

BTW, proper grammar will go far in being a successful businessperson.
Reply:you might try contacting some high traffic salons in your area to partner with, as this is a natural fit. my wife has opened some cosmetic operations in the past this way with wholesale cosmetics. yes, the profit is scary!

Is cosmetic dermatology and dermatology the same thing? Does it reguire the same course work?

what is the difference between cosmetic dermatology and regulare dermatology, if there is a difference...if there's not what is the difference between cosmetic dermatology and aesthectician..and what is the difference between aesthectician and an esthectician? Are there any schools in ohio that teach about Laser Hair removal? Scar revision? Fillers? lasers for acne removal ( don't know what its called) etc. Does anyone know what kind've salary a person like this would make? I am confused about the difference between a cosmeticc dermatologist,a regular dermatologist, an aesthectican and a esthectician...PLEASE HELP!

Dermatology deals with all skin ailments. Poison ivy to staph infection. Having a giant painful boil on yourass lanced doesn't really fall under a cosmetic procedure.

Can cosmetic surguries after gastric bypass operation for obesity be included in medical expenses?

My wife had gastric bypass surgury and now two cosmetic surguries to remove the excess skin, that resulted from great loss of weight. No more diabetes, etc. Can this type of cosmetic surguries be allowed as an acceptable medical expense for income tax in 2006?

Can cosmetic surguries after gastric bypass operation for obesity be included in medical expenses?
Probably.
Reply:Not sure. I guess it would depend on whether or not the excess skin was causing problems such as irritations, abscesses, etc. Just call a local tax office and ask about it. Most are likely to just tell you.

Effective cosmetic or cream to smooth wrinkles on laugh lines?

I'm 56, and I've been lucky with regard to forehead and eyes as I have only a few minor and barely visible wrinkles. By contrast, on each side of my mouth, I have deep laugh lines. I know I've earned them from plenty of smiling, but I really don't like them. I may eventually look into botox, but I've read of cosmetics or creams which fill in these lines temporarily. I want something like this, but when I search online, there are tons. Many of them cost from $55.00 to $150.00 and I don't have that kind of money to experiment. My friends tell me that they tried some and they warned, "Do not overly smile after using the product". LOL! I am wondering if anyone has experience selling these types of cosmetic/creams, or if anyone has happened upon a good product for filling laugh lines? Hopefully, it will be one that allows me to smile.

Oral surgeon and cosmetic procedures...?

Is the quality of cosmetic surgery perfomed by an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon the same as the one performed by board certified Plastic Surgeon? Thanks for help.

Oral surgeon and cosmetic procedures...?
Unless it was surgery on the jaw or palate, I'd be REAL cautious about cosmetic surgery done by those folks. I'd rather have a physician performing surgery on me than a dentist.
Reply:Oral surgeons hail from dental schools. Cosmetic surgeons/Maxillofacial specialists are physicians.
