Cost of cosmetic foot surgery?

About how much would cosmetic foot surgery cost? Not on all toes, but just on one toe. To be more detailed, it's the big toe. Hoe much would it cost to get corrective surgery on the big toe?

P.S. insurance doesn't cover cosmetic surgery.

Cost of cosmetic foot surgery?
That is not cosmetic surgery if you are having something on your toe corrected so your insurance should cover. Also there is no way to know the cost or even approximate cost as we don't know what kind of surgery you would have and what the doc needs to do to correct your problem and what surgery costs are in your area. Corrective surgery is covered by insurance so make an appointment with your podiatrist and get this checked out and they will tell you how much your insurance will cover etc.
Reply:Well, a uterine fibroid removal cost $30,000 2 years ago. The toe's not too invasive, comparatively speaking, and could probably be done on out-patient basis. I'd guess it would cost you about half that.

It may be considered cosmetic if you want it done so your toe isn't crooked, or something like that. But if your toe deformity/problem causes you PAIN, then it should be labeled as corrective, or necessary. That's not elective surgery I wouldn't think and I would think it WOULD be covered. So long as it causes you chronic pain.

It hurts all the time, doesn't it? That should be covered.

Can a cosmetic surgeon do this?

If a person who has no nose (lets say from an accident or they were born like that), can a cosmetic surgeon create some kind of special synthetic nose?

Does anyone know of any cosmetic surgeons who can do this?

Can a cosmetic surgeon do this?
Yes.

They take skin and cartalige from another part of your body and can graft it on to your face.

It happens all the time.

In fact... The first case of an artificial nose being grafted onto a human face is actually from more then 2000 years ago...

The doctor in Egypt took skin from the forehead and cut it, twisted it to face the right way, and then stitched it into the right position...

I saw a Discovery Channel Documentary on it many many years ago...

I'll see if I can find a link to someting about it from http://www.livescience.com
Reply:take a look at michael jackson

his nose probably falls off all the time

he probably wears that covering over it outside so the sun doesnt melt it or something
Reply:I saw a program on TV where they made a nose/repaired lips, made fore heads. many things. Yes i'd say they can. Check with your doctor and ask for referals to the kind of doctor you need to see. God has gifted many doctors to preform miracles.
Reply:Yep! They use carlidge from other areas (usuall rib or sometimes the ear) and skin grafts.

I've actually had this done as I was born with a cleft lip %26amp; palate and a flat nose that had no profile side on so they created a tip using my rib cartlidge. It hurt a bit but was soooo worth it the results were excellent!! However I don't know how they would do the inside stuff (sinus etc) on someone with no nose to begin with.

Is any men like cosmetic?

gentlemen, what do you think of cosmetic?

cosmetic just is women's patent,isn't?

do you make cosmetic to take care of your skin?

do you value it just as women?

how ofen do you use it one day?

Is any men like cosmetic?
My father uses a lot, so does my older brother. And they use it everyday! Besides common shampoo and soap, they use moisturizers, lotions, creams, you name it. I dunno, they just like to take care of themselves, I guess. But they also make sure they don't do too much of it. http://www.skinsosilky.com/skincare/72-m... shows some danger of skin care, that's why they are also careful.
Reply:Well I don't use any products, other than soap and water.I do use a bit of after shave
Reply:I use Concha Nacar Bleach Cream on my face. It has oyster shell powder in it... it's very good for clearing brown and red marks and keeping skin clean! =)

Should plastic/cosmetic surgery be widely accepted?

should plastic/cosmetic surgery be widely accepted?

why or whynot? should or shouldn't?

in your opinion, what are advantages and disadvantages for plastic/ cosmetic surgery?

Should plastic/cosmetic surgery be widely accepted?
yes it should
Reply:If it makes someone feel better about themselves why not. But i think the root is deeper, then just looks.
Reply:i think it is becoming more accepted, but most people are not going to admit to having surgery to enhance their looks. i know for a fact that people judge you on your looks. If i had the extra money, i know i would have cosmetic surgery but i have to save for my kids college. i am all for it. It is getting more affordable, not just the rich people are getting it anymore.
Reply:It`s already accepted by all.
Reply:i feel that plastic surgery can be good in some ways, such as treating a burns victim or such like. there should be a limit on the amount of times someone is allowed to have it. if plastic surgery is going to make someone feel better about themselves then i see nothing wrong with this to an extent.
Reply:It's up to the patient, and what he/she chooses to do in that regard is absolutely none of your business.

Patients I care for do not give a rat's a** what you, or anyone else, thinks about their personal medical decisions.
Reply:sure, all competent people have a right to decide that themselves, but the big catch is that word COMPETENT. we've all seen examples of people who by all other estimates are behaving irrationally (michael jackson, anyone?) and certainly should not be having any more cosmetic surgery. or how about that prepubescent girl who wants to have breast augmentation? in some instances, allowing a person to have any more plastic surgery might be akin to giving that drug addict more crack. i don't know where to draw the line, but all i can say is that it's not as simple as just shrugging it off as we should let anyone do what they want.

Anyone know much about Cosmetic Tattooing??

I am considering doing a cosmetic tattooing course, As I have always wanted to be a tattoo artist, but seeing that the industry is almost impossible to get into, I have decided that Cosmetic Tattooing would be a great place to start and get great practice with a tattoo gun and shading etc, I have found a course that will teach me cosmetic tattooing %26amp; supply me with basic equipment, these courses are run out of select beauty college's in Australia (where I live) But they only run for 5-8 days and cost $5000-$10,000 dollars.. you can also do additional day courses to learn how to coverup scarring %26amp; add nipples to breast cancer victims etc... Is this a worthwhile career to be putting so much money into and can I really learn the art in 5-8 days?? Is it a competitive career and how much can I be looking to earn? Anyone that has any advice, experience,etc.. your input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanking you in advance :) I think it would be exciting, but would like to here your thoughts

Anyone know much about Cosmetic Tattooing??
you can learn how to do anything in 5-8 days, but dont expect to be good at it... you need a lot of practice...

i do hope you the best:
Reply:It would be a good field to get into; there are more cosmetic tattooists who AREN'T licensed than those who are. The money seems about right, considering they are supplying you with basic equipment and lessons, but 5-8 days? COME ON. I'd look for another school. Consider that someone who does regular tattoos (hopefully) goes to school, then practices on oranges and chickens for awhile, then practices on themselves for awhile.....and only when they've apprenticed for at least a year, and shown that they've got the chops can they start inking actual customers. I think I'd look for another school!

It's not as though you can just wipe it off and start over if you mess it up.

Is a Cosmetic Dentist a Good Profession ???

I have been on this major power path to find a good profession, Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Dentistry, are the new procedures, I would like to have a profession which will profit me and my patients, I would like to know if any of you all been to a Cosmetic Dentist and what do you think of it ???

Is a Cosmetic Dentist a Good Profession ???
A Cosmetic Dentist is also a dentist.

In general, they learn from square 1 too. Just that general dentistry is a need %26amp; cosmetic dentistry is a want. A need usually dun cost tt much but a want will come with a price hence being a cosmetic dentist allows you to earn more.
Reply:Cosmetic dentists are general dentists or Prosthodontists that emphasize their care to cosmetic procedures. It is not a recognized specialty (in the U.S.).

As far as dentistry as a career field...it has been very rewarding to me. I am a general dentist. As a general dentist I get such a wide variety of cases and patients from children injuring theirs faces/mouths while playing to patients who want to improve their looks.

I use everything from lasers, to scalpels as well as the traditional 'drill'. I have treated infections, diagnosed multiple cases of cancer and been able to help patients take control of their oral health. No day is boring, no case is boring...if a dentist tries to stay at the cutting edge, there are always new and better ways of treating patients.

I started out similarly to what you are describing; not sure if I wanted to go into medicine or dentistry...so I spent many hours visiting physicians' and dentists' offices. I saw what I liked and have not regretted my decision.

Invest some time into the research before you commit.

Good luck!!!

Get the distributionship thru business friends but totally no experience in cosmetic and skin care business. From business instinct, know that this brand can work but need to ask around if there is other interested parties to work together. The product is getting directly from factory. Looking for young entreprenuer that is interested to start up their own business in skin care and cosmetic business. for world wide distribution. or any one can help me how to expand this network. the profit is scary, no wonder the cosmetic company is earning big buck!!

Get a famous cosmetic brand distributionship, how to do this business?
Please don't litter this website with spam - if the profit was to scary, you wouldn't have to post on yahoo answers to try to get some sucker to sign up! If it was such a good deal, you certainly wouldn't want to share "profits" with anyone.

BTW, proper grammar will go far in being a successful businessperson.
Reply:you might try contacting some high traffic salons in your area to partner with, as this is a natural fit. my wife has opened some cosmetic operations in the past this way with wholesale cosmetics. yes, the profit is scary!
